COUNCIL OF MINISTERS REGULATION NO. 92/2003 ETHIOPIAN ELECTRIC POWER CORPORATION ESTABLISHMENT (AMENDMENT) REGULATION
This Regulation is issued by the Council of Ministers Pursuant to Article 5 of the Definition of Power and Duties of the Executive Organs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Proclamation No. 4/1995 and Article 47(4) (a) of the Public Enterprises Proclamation No. 25/1992.
1. Shot Title
This Regulation may be cited as “Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation Establishment (Amendment) Council of Ministers Regulation No. 94/2003”.
The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation Establishment Council of Ministers Regulation No. 181/1997, is hereby amended as follows:
Article 5 is hereby deleted and replaced by the following new article 5.
“Article 5. Purpose
The Corporation shall
5.1/ Engage in the business of producing, transmitting, distributing and selling electrical energy in accordance with the economic and social development policies and priorities of the government;
5.2/ issue, sell and pledge bonds;
5.3/ carry on any other related activities that would enable it achieve its purpose.”
3. Effective Date
This Regulation shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Federal Negarit Gazeta.
